Pros
The continuing education and learning modules you have to do when beginning your employment are extensive and useful to the career. The managers help you set goals, encourage further education, and teach you how to achieve the number set by the both of you. There is possibilities of buiding a solid carrer with them.
Kontras
At the location I was at, there was bias towards women trainers and trainers there for years getting cherry picked leads that were inquiring about training. The onboarding wasn't consistent from employee to employee, at least in my department. I go a notice I quit, but never did. I was on unemployment during a furlough because of covid. Since I was on furlough, I decided to get my torn rotator cuff repaired. The manager called me and I told them I was having surgery in a few days and said, "Ok, let us know when you are better to come back." I said, OK", and that was that. Next thing I know a month later, my unemployment stops. Then 2 months later in December (Merry Christmas), I got a letter from them thanking me for my service and that my employment was terminated (due to voluntary quitting-not letting them know, I was going to be out for surgery. WOW. I was locked into minimum wage until a few very difficult goal numbers and milestones were achieved, which would of been a lot easier if I didn't have to find EVERY new training client myself.
