Pros

PAY-PAY-PAY Tuition Reimbursement Company is finally focusing on customers needs Great amount of hours for vacation per year Bonus

Kontras

Health benefits are ridiculous. Deductible too high. Might as well buy private insurance. Cannot use the "Great amount of hours for vacation per year" as the company decides if you take time off based on 'their' needs. They're quick to ask for help to to meet their service needs, (and you do), but when you ask for a day off they waste no time in saying no. Middle managament paints a pretty picture to upper management, but in fact morale is very low among service people. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. A lot of inconsistency among departments , claims, sales , Underwriting, and cust. svc. Dress code Favoritism point system for attendance. (?) Quality scores are very subjective and inconsistent. This should not be the case when quality dictates your future in the company (raise, bonus etc...) Other insurance companies have higher bonus than Liberty. They do not care about employee, satisfaction. They ask 21 questions if you complaint about any type of pain (back, pain etc...) Need to upgrade chairs, desks, and overal equipment.

Pros

Good benefits. Generous 401k match

Kontras

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
