Pros

The benefits and perks such as free rewards such as Ubereats and Doordash. You also have the option to work remotely.

Kontras

They have several managers and leads that don't know much about anything. You should not be in a leadership position if you cannot lead. That is very frustrating to employees who have their act together. Plus, they're a lot of people who work there that have their own ulterior motives and it affects the whole team with their actions. If you ask for help or something you may need to make your position a bit easier, you get false promises. I think the CEO has good intentions and okayish vision for the company but if you really read between the lines and look at the fine print of things you will see that it is just lip service and then it comes down to the saying "Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see" I left this company overall because it seemed as if the blind was leading the blind and my time is valuable and I didn't want to waste it any further. The overall training sucked as well.

Pros

Great company/culture, great people, great exam support. Surrounded by the cream of the crop in the insurance and insurtech world. interesting and dynamic work. A nice bonus is you will learn how to code here, it's non negotiable.

Kontras

No formal rotational programs. Work can get get overwhelming during exam season (maybe not a unique thing to this company). No bonuses, just equity.

Pros

When I started there it was amazing. Lots of flexibility, good pay, great benefits, and fantastic people to collaborate with. It was a real startup culture.

Kontras

Once they started hiring old hats from entrenched and archaic insurance companies to be senior leaders the tone changed. Almost overnight it became just like the institutional insurance companies where you can be stabbed in the back at any moment and you’re only valued if senior leaders can see your work product. If you don’t have regular interactions with them or pat yourself on the back often you are as good as gone.
