* Great, intelligent and fun people who are passionate and committed to the company. There are many employees who have been with this company for 10+ years (present company included), so clearly LTI is doing something right in that regard * The courses developed by LTI are of outstanding quality * Work can be interesting with opportunities to expand your knowledge (depending on department and personal preferences) * Good benefits--401k contribution is practically nil these days. However, benefits do include free courses for employees and immediate family (1 course/year) * Good work/life balance (depending on position) * New management has made some positive, forward-thinking changes (new web design, new sales approach, product development changes)

* History of micromanagement and distrust of employees * Discontinued option to telecommute & recently shut down Los Angeles office--the current executives seem stuck in "old school" mentality in which they distrust employees unless management can be right there watching them * Very few personal growth opportunities (I worked there for 10 years and only got one promotion) * Upper management not open to employee suggestions/input and is often single-mindedly driven to enforce their own agenda; employee resources and creativity often overlooked or completely ignored * Mental stability of new CEO questionable (actually, he's the old CEO and co-founder who came back after ~5 years retirement). CEO rehired several former (male) executives and seems keen on an "old boy's club" mentality. Also is known for (literally) screaming at employees if he doesn't get his way and focusing on minutiae any good CEO should entrust to middle management/employees.
