The other tutors were great, no complaints, and my classroom managers were amazing and supportive aswell since we were all around the same age.

They pay based on 'year group', so year 13's who are 18 get paid £7.50, not £10, which I find off-putting. There are no set hours. Right before I left, they became very weird about 'active learning,' as in tutors had to stand up to teach, not because it helped, but because it "looked better," which was more of an annoyance rather than a help for the students. They would tell tutors diff things about what to do, which would be confusing, and sometimes it felt a bit passive-aggressive - the difference between branches is astounding, some are very strict and rigid, and others don't even care if you wear the right uniform. I did see a bit of favouritism, but honestly, I didn't get paid enough to care. I would see some tutors with a group of 7 kids struggling to manage. I left after around 4 months of consistently working there since it made my weekends a bit miserable, and I would rather not do that. I think it's an alright first job for experience, and it wasn't all bad, more of a 30:70 ratio.
