Pros
No extra duties outside of teaching, small group sizes, access to technology and materials, the pay is decent for an hourly wage.
Kontras
The insurance is horrible, lots of negative changes throughout the year, you are not guaranteed full time status. You don't get paid throughout the summer so essentially you have to put aside money to survive for 3-4 months. No creative opportunities you are asked to stick to the curriculum. Lots of unnecessary assessments and no room for advancement unless you have a masters degree.
