Pros

Gaithersburg, MD location: Nice area Nice cafeteria on the main level Free parking Free coffee Always accepting overtime hours (but that's because they're always behind on their goals)

Kontras

Management sucks and they do not pay you enough to do the type of work that you're really assigned to do. Environment is aggressive and hostile 30 minute timed lunch and 2 15 minute breaks (no, they won't switch the breaks for a full hour lunch) Do not trust HR management Many unprofessional employees including layers in management Unfriendly work environment Extremely unorganized Management favoritism Technology is old (2001 Oracle Seibel 7.1 software) and always crash Many incompetent leaders in middle management Communication is poor You'll be terminated easily without any explanation No career growth (dead end job) Training is non-existent You are left on your own to figure things out This position is always hiring for a reason: You get hired through Randstad. You are working to help arthritis scoliosis patients. You're job is to really help doctors fill out case forms to either start a patient on their medication, relieve their patient from the medication, check if their insurance covers the medication, try to appeal the patient denied authorization form to receive medication, call the patient local pharmacy to check if the medication can be send to that particular store for the patient to pick up, file an adverse effect report on the medication that leaves the patient in a worse condition, and re-fill medication for the patient. So you're doing all of this for $13 an hour. You must also complete a minimum of 10 cases per day. Training is supposed to be 6 weeks long. Only 2 managers train you. The managers lecture you for 2 weeks and flood important information to you with 6 or more packets of over 40 page power point material. You're also not allowed to carry any of the material home to study or you will get fired. Within the 1st 2 weeks, the managers also train you data entry in the even more old 6.0 Oracle Siebel software. By the 3rd week, you're placed on the floor (in the cubicles) to work alone doing only data entry. By the 4th week, you're expected to know everything even though the managers only trained you on data entry. They also give you a call script, a list of numbers to call (not all of them are right), and send you on your way. You're also "supervised" by the veteran employees. Between the 4th and 6th week, the new employee must "graduate" from completing perfect cases approved by the veteran employee. The grading works if you receive a "perfect, needs improvement, and failed completion". If you have a supervisor that does not like you, you will get fired. Most of the veterans do not like the new employees. They do not want to answer any questions or help you if you're stuck on a case because they believe that the new employees are "holding them back" from completing their own assignments for the week. I found this out when one of the veteran employees add a new employee to a group IM chat by accident, exposing an extremely disrespectful and unprofessional thread from most of the veteran employees/ supervisors that does not like the new employees. None of them got fired of course. Don't question any aspects of management and don't go to any manager or HR manager for help because they consider you trouble and you will be fired.

Pros

None whatsoever. Everything they advertise as a pro has fineprint that renders it completely useless.

Kontras

Wish I could have given zero stars, 1 star feels like lying. The most important thing is that they will mess you over without a second thought. For those who may have just started at the company, quit now before they mess you over. Don't be deceived by the benefits they advertise. Don't think you're valued because they will turn on you the second keeping you as part of the team inconveniences them. They don't pay fairly and blow off people who need to make a living. On top of trash pay, the work environment will have you hating what you do even while you're actively helping people. At PSCs, you're severely overworked and under a microscope. As an IOP, you're underappreciated and taken advantage of. The way they do business is very shady. They constantly have lawsuits against them, Google it. I saw the reviews and didn't listen because I thought a bad job was better than no job in this economy. I was so wrong. For your own mental health, and overall finances, don't work here. EVER. There are other jobs out there that pay fairly and aren't toxic. I found one and am so happy because I could have been trapped in a company going nowhere. Now I am paid what I'm worth and growing in my career, not just stuck choosing between being a phlebotomist, float or a high-stress supervisor. Just wait for a better job. I promise, the trash pay and stress are NOT worth the gas you'll waste driving all over the place even when you're not a float. Just don't do it.
