Title: Toxic Culture, Zero Support, and No Job Security

Review:
My time at Key Construction was a deeply frustrating and disheartening experience. The company takes on far more work than it can handle, yet fails to provide the necessary resources to succeed. Projects are routinely understaffed, and Project Managers are often forced to take on the role of both Superintendent and Project Manager, making it impossible to effectively manage workloads. Project managers are routinely fired out of nowhere.
When inevitable issues arise—whether due to client demands, resource shortages, or factors entirely out of the Project Manager’s control—management immediately places the blame on the Project Manager. Instead of working through problems with clients or addressing systemic issues, they tell the client everything is the Project Manager’s fault.
What’s worse is the lack of transparency and constructive feedback. Management gives no warning or indication that there’s a problem, making it seem like everything is fine, only to fire employees out of nowhere. This creates an incredibly toxic and insecure work environment where you constantly feel unsupported and disposable.
If you’re considering working here, be prepared for unreasonable expectations, no support, and absolutely no job security. Until Key overhauls its approach to staffing, accountability, and employee treatment, I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.
