Pros
Pay and benefits were excellent. Pension plus an RRSP match program won't be found many other places.
Kontras
Culture was always an issue. Lip service paid to culture but things never really changed. Old-school managers gradually forced out but it really didn't change things. Those attitudes became more subtle, but they didn't disappear. Work-life balance was non-existent. Long hours, rotating shifts and requirement for weekend coverage. A lot of pressure and many people didn't handle it well.
