We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your review, we are committed to creating a transparent and collaborative environment for all of our employees, so we are disappointed to hear about your experience.
Firstly, we want to thank you for your positive comments about the team. We definitely agree with you here, at Judopay we have a highly intelligent team, across the board. Our company culture is at the heart of everything we do, we strive to ensure that our employees are engaged and that their hard work is rewarded with exceptional benefits. We have a supportive work environment full of fun and autonomy, that empowers our team to achieve amazing things in their careers. We may not throw ‘amazing parties’ like we have done in the past, but we are instead using this money more effectively and using this budget to invest in other areas, such as increasing headcount in all teams and more supportive rewards such as 1-2-1 coaching.
Our managers (and employees) live our values, one of which is ‘we are like family – we call out great work and we support each other to do better’. Managers are extremely passionate about promoting career progression and supporting our employees (apologies if this was perceived as dominance), these were indeed positive constructive feedback sessions and are important to drive change and ensure improvements in the team, apologies if you received negative feedback here.
To reply to your comment about lateness, we are a flexible company and we understand that delays occur (especially with London transport!) However, individuals being consistently late week on week and not following process, particularly where team meetings are then missed in part, or whole, is not supportive towards their team members or indeed our customers, so this is something we do look at seriously.
Thanks for your comment about the size of the technical team, we feel work is balanced fairly across the team as this year we have made some key hires in this area and our technical team is currently the largest team within the company, making up 35% of our total headcount. We balance our in-house team with outsourced experts and as such, do not view an absence of in house mobile development as a disadvantage. As of August 2019 we have once again hit record transaction volumes and continue to show impressive month on month growth. Our continued investment in innovation has us recognised by awards, our partners, our customers and our competitors. Having said that, we are a startup, we are not perfect and we do make mistakes but at the centre of our culture is how we learn from them.
