Pros

Free parking in downtown Eugene Metropolitan area. The Company has the ability to potentially contribute to your 401k (doesn't typically happen).

In my experience I never felt I got the truth from upper management when it came to my performance. Upper management would indicate my performance was in line with their expectations however I was hearing a completely didn't story from my colleagues. Also every year management would undergo an annual review for all levels, based on the "rules", management is not allowed to discuss items not specifically written on each employees review memos (which is discussed with the employee and signed off by employee prior to submission), this is completely untrue, anything is fair game, there tends to be a significant amount of bus tossing. Besides not following their annual review process, management favors certain employees, ensure the proper support is provided. Lastly, management should be comprised of partners or senior members within the firm, not sure if someone advocating for the employees should be part of upper management, especially since employees meet with said person on a reoccurring basis and discuss any issues, surely the conversations are confidential, not so much. This place is hopeless and it saddens me because I had high hopes for this place, but your time here hurts your career in terms of growth and opportunities elsewhere.

Goodness, it sounds like you are very passionate about your role in the Firm and want the best for all involved. The Annual Review Committee is a bin-annual event for performance management that involves a large number of moving pieces and different individuals. As you stated we do have an established rule system that we honor to the best of our ability - without knowing exactly who violated it and how, I am at a loss for words. I am truly sorry, if you felt your confidentiality had been compromised and that it soured your view of the process. Pros

Great company to work for. They communicate well, they compensate fairly, and they're willing to be flexible with schedule and other expectations. They really value their employees.
