Pros

Benefits are good and you get to meet a lot of people and they come through from either getting fired, laid off or self terminating!

Kontras

Mangement is selected on who can kiss up the best. TheyIgnorance of customers needs and expectations. Bottom line is everything HR dept is a joke, they do not want to hear anything negative about manangement, turn their head when evidence of improper behavior is given, safety dept is a CYA for the company and dont give d@#$ about employees. The 4 years I had to work their(ex. York employee) was the worst of my 37yr. experience in the business. Took a lower paying job to just get away from the B#$%S^&*

Pros

Pro's depend on where you sit in the organization. Broadly, JCI is a focused, mission-driven organization leading sustainability and smart-building innovations worldwide. The technology is strong, very strong, we have a data-driven culture, and the work is meaningful. There are endless routes to professional development (you just need to put in the work), and you'll be exposed to teams and people of all walks of life from around the world. JCI's people are its greatest asset. There is a huge collection of really excellent people here. If you enjoy how that sounds, you'll enjoy working here.

Kontras

The higher you climb, the more complex the organizational layers get. The closer you are to the customer, however, the less you'll see that complexity. Essentially, the Con's depend on where you sit in the organization. Broadly speaking, JCI sets high expectations that require resilience and adaptability. Your focus is occasionally taxed by news and moves from other levels of the org. You need to train yourself to focus on what matters most to you and not let what you can't control affect what you can control.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
