It has excellent benefits, competitive salary, a good 401K plan, and its stock has out-performed the market and has split several times over the last 20 years.

JCI is a fairly conservative company. As such, it is slower to adapt to evolving workplace concepts such as flexibility in working hours, dress, tele-commuting, hiring of partially retired seniors, and so on.
