- Intrusive Surveillance: The company uses activity-tracking software. Management prioritizes "mouse clicks" and "keyboard hits" over actual architectural planning or problem-solving. - Technical Debt & Stagnation: Leadership (specifically at the CTO/Engineering Manager level) follows a "don't fix what isn't broken" philosophy. Any attempts to modernize outdated architecture or implement best practices are rejected even when the current system is riddled with bugs. - Poor Product Management: Roadmaps and tasks are often poorly defined, forcing developers to spend excessive time fixing basic logical gaps left by product managers. - Broken Promises: Expect requests to work weekends during "crunch times" with promises of compensatory time off that never materialize. Abysmal Communication & Offboarding: Despite 8+ years of industry experience and proactive communication, I was terminated without a single meeting or warning.
