Pros
The atmosphere is really great - very different from other corporate offices of its size. It feels like being in college studio again - a little chaotic, a little stressful, with a strong sense of camaraderie. People are generally nice, helpful, and talented. The work produced is something special that I have not seen come out of many other offices, especially these days. When there is a problem, which is not entirely uncommon, the design principals are accessible and eager to help (when people speak up). Tech problems are always handled expeditiously. They provide the most current industry programs and classes for said programs, for people who show interest. All-in-all a great place to work.
Kontras
The past couple years have been a bit tumultuous. Change in power, 7+ partners not necessarily agreeing on the direction of the company, and some questionable hires/layoffs have affected the creative environment. Some teams work better than others in terms of the expectation to work overtime, advocacy for team members' success and well-being, etc. There is a general apathy about sharing pertinent company information with employees, so gossip has a tendency to flare up at times.
