Underpaid and overworked - Paralegal bei Irwin Mitchell: Mitarbeiterbewertung

Paralegals in particular are very underpaid - worked like a full fee earner with extremely high billing targets but paid little more that a secretary. Told that the experience will ‘help progression’ but the when you try to progress within the company/apply for promotions etc nothing is done. There isn’t a great work environment here - people are actively encouraged to work well over their contracted hours and if you’re not working until 9/10pm each evening you are made to feel like you’re not doing enough. The upper management adopt a ‘if your face fits’ approach and it feels there is a lot of favouritism.
