Pros
- Wonderful setting for teamwork and groupthink - Promotions with great benefits for drinking buddies who have constantly underperformed - Old boys club with strong principles to ensure longevity in their beliefs - Endless claims of innovation and financial growth without properly compensating or promoting the employees who perform well - Phenomenal job at treating employees as expendable resources (Since robots are the future, why not start by treating the employees as such. Talk about innovation and being ahead of the game...right?) - Open door policy ONLY if the management team is directly affected - A great place to vocalize your ideas that are then ignored ... until the management claims to come up with the same ideas a few days later - Creative wordplay such as "paralysis by analysis" from executives who do not actually answer your questions about the rationale for several company decisions
Kontras
Since members of the management team "cannot think of any," here are a few cons: - Mistreatment of contractors [A LOT if mistreatment over the years] - Low wages regardless of their constant claims about how well the company is performing financially - Lack of transparency - Misogynistic and sexist attitudes - Inexperienced management team with almost no accountability - Nepotism amongst drinking buddies - Lack of parking - Cheapskate executives - This company had a fun working environment and vision but it declined. Many of the employees are talented hard working people but unfortunately, the management does a poor job at promoting and properly paying employees based on their merits. On the other hand, the executives do a great job at convincing you that they “care” but their actions do not reflect their empty claims. This company may do well in the future but they took advantage of many people to get to where they are today. If you decide to work for this company as a contractor, make sure you are at least compensated at the industry standard rate that pertains to your role.
