Pros
There are some really smart people at Intrepid who all work hard and support each other. People don't seem to let their egos get in the way of serving the interests of the client and the company. Generally, employees tend to have a keen interest in the work that they do and in staying on top of thier game.
Kontras
Intrepid as a place of employment has deteriorated significantly over the last year. Recently, cuts have been deep, focus has been lost, the leadership team seems to be adrift, and the culture has been decimated. Though the economy has taken a hard toll on the company, it has only exacerbated the lack of direction that seemed to come about before the econimic crisis, due to shifts in leadership. A major issue has been a seemingly random and short-sighted approach in letting go of many steller, high-performing employees, which has greatly impacted the morale of those who remain. In addition, the shift to a largely delivery-focused business has been taken in half-measures, with divestment in other lines of business being reactive rather than deliberate. It is unclear whether there is a reluctance to let go of our roots (even though we've struggled with maintaining consistent margins in those areas) or whether the leadership team is immobilized by its lack of unity.
