There is a lot of opportunity for your voice to be heard and your idea’s shared. Management is open to try new things, and finding new or better ways to approve the companies process. Like other reviews have noted, the people are great and really make it a friendly and fun place to work. They offer a flex schedule and work from home options, which is great for people with families or long commutes. If you’re interested in a talent acquisition or HR career, ICN is a great place to start. The leaders know the industry best practices; and most who have left ICN and stayed in this industry are still succeeding with the skills they learned and developed at ICN. The successful recruiters mentioned above tend to stay between 3-5 years, before moving onto something new (in most cases the corporate side)… which says a lot about ICN in an industry known to have higher turn-over. I decided to share my thoughts after seeing some unfair and malicious reviews that I do not believe to be true. No company is perfect, but some of the reviews paint an inaccurate picture of a day in the life at ICN. You would be hard pressed to find a recruitment agency that doesn’t use metrics in the same ways ICN does. The daily stand-ups are a common industry practice used to make sure we are prioritizing work… they can definitely become mundane, but anyone who felt they were disparaging likely wasn’t producing, and therefore looked at the meeting with angst.

There is a tendency to overthink and over complicate. As mentioned in the top “Pro” comment, the organization is open to change; but that can lead to more than necessary discussion and planning via long meetings… not all of which come to a concise decision. There has been a realization of this tendency, and production employees (Sales and Recruiting) have by and large been removed from these meetings to concentrate on production. The trade off to work from home and flex schedule is that the office can sometimes feel quiet and empty. The space is newly renovated, and looks great, but if you’re looking for a large organization with a big office and a lot of people, the vibe of this office may not be for you.

I have been with ICN for about a year now and I love this job because we don't just do "keyword matching" on resumes. We don't waste people's time by sending them a list of job descriptions, we don't spam people. Instead we focus on learning what's important to them, what they are good at, and what environment they will thrive in so we can better place them in a role they will enjoy. My colleagues are all great and we have fun at work. The job is flexible and has great bonuses, which never hurts! We represent excellent clients and have jobs that people want.

Recruiting isn't an easy job, but it's very rewarding and affords a great opportunity to advance if someone is willing to go for it.
