Kontras
Salary is laughable. Benefits are pretty poor. 401k is awful. It is pretty much a 10-12 dollar and hour gig if you break it down. Micromanaged to a "T". Looked down upon if you take any time off, whether that be for vacation or illness. Huge emphasis on alcohol (they use that as a substitution, opposed to a bonus structure). Company is set-up in a pyramid-scheme fashion, upper manager benefits greatly from the base of the company. They tell you that average 2nd year salary is around 90k, only for the top few. They make sure to tell you about how much some people are making, but in actuality, it is only a few people that are making the money that makes it worth working investment banking hours. The commission is pretty bad for what your "spread" is at. There is a universal level of ignorance to the state of your territory, they expect a lot, no matter what may be happening withing your accounts. I felt that upper management did the least and were compensated the most. They over promise and under deliver. You will destroy your car and put on thousands of miles and lose plenty of money on gasoline. You will be pressured to spend every minute with the office, outside the office.
