Pros
My job was 100% remote, which was nice.
Kontras
No documentation. No training materials pertinent to job. Discouraged from innovation and using tools that could streamline workflows. Confusing system. Impersonal, never saw a face, etc. Workflow requires a lot of copying and pasting and revising many documents that look identical, leading to inevitable errors, but not allowed to automate anything. No autonomy. If I wrote a script, the supervisor would rewrite it even if the result was the same just because they're all terrified of change. I felt like I couldn't approach people with questions and was frequently told "you should know this" about obscure systems knowledge that is impossible to locate without years of working in the system. And the system was a mess. There was a lot of inconsistency in things like naming conventions and rules about different lines of business, so the lack of documentation was seriously an issue. Lots of top down pressure, lots of getting chewed out for things I couldn't control. I have never experienced a more toxic, frustrating, anxiety inducing, or backwards environment.
