 Free parking  Starbucks, Chipotle, and Jimmy Johns are within walking distance of the corporate office; Olive Garden begins alcohol service at Noon  You can bum a cigarette from the smorgasbord of stressed employee's who smoke outside of the building  If you need a jolt into entrepreneurship the cut-throat culture of this organization will provide the catalyst you need  There's an opportunity for introspective thinking for daily you will question what you have done to end up working within a culture that constantly demeans its employees  Inovalon is a champion of continuing education, which will come in handy as you struggle to understand why the once promising stock value of this corporation has now plummeted -- along with your profits  You get to sharpen your memory skills for the employee turnover rate is so high that you will struggle to remember the various names of replaced personnel  That "fabulous" healthcare package Inovalon advertises will come in handy, especially those mental health care benefits  Inovalon provides the perfect environment to study "isms"…you know sexism, racism, and classism  There's career growth opportunity for if you survive the rolling lay-offs or random terminations, you can forward your resume for consideration  If you're seeking a corporation with a "family feel," then Inovalon is the place for you for nepotism runs rampant throughout the organization  "Work hard, work harder" will be your motto for Inovalon knows how much you want to see this organization succeed, even at the expense of spending time with your loved ones; hey there's even leftover pizza from a "leadership" meeting and a $25 Spot Award in it for ya  If you love the concept of working within a team environment, again Inovalon is the place for you for "leadership" has commented on several occasions that associates are merely "arms and legs"  Inovalon is correct, every employee is engaged in business development, and this is reflected daily as client-facing associates try to put a positive spin on the failed processes and reporting clients are subjected to on a daily  The C-Suite executives have "great faith" in the company for they are constantly selling MASSIVE shares of their stock even with the price being 1/2 the valuation of February 2015  Other companies are so intrigued by Inovalon's business practices that they are currently suing the organization for transparency  Inovalon obviously prefers a tight client circle as it struggles to maintain its dwindling list of existing clients and struggle to obtain new contracts

Pros

The company was a great place to work under the leadership of its founder and CEO. It offered strong products, a positive culture, and exceptional sales leadership. However, after the founder and president departed, the company’s direction and leadership changed significantly, impacting the overall employee experience.

Since the leadership transition, the focus appears to have shifted away from employees and more toward financial performance and investor perception. The company has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs, while at the same time hiring sales representatives who often seemed underprepared for the role. Much of the enablement function was reduced or eliminated, with an increasing reliance on AI-driven solutions. Leadership within my department was challenging (toxic). There was a noticeable tendency to favor individuals brought in from a previous company, which negatively impacted morale and team dynamics - leadership was clueless . The leadership style often came across as inflexible, with limited openness to alternative perspectives or collaboration. It was a “I know best because I’m so experienced so it should be THIS way” mentality . As a result, cross-functional relationships suffered (sales leaders didn’t respect dept leadership) and there was little partnership with sales leadership to reinforce training and enablement initiatives. One bright spot was the Sales Engineering organization. The team was highly skilled, well-respected, and led by an exceptional leader who fostered a strong culture and delivered real value to the business. Overall, while the company offers solid products and has talented people in certain areas, the culture, leadership decisions, and ongoing organizational instability make it difficult for me to recommend as a long-term career destination.
