Pros
Excellent, committed, passionate staff. Many recent major capital investments. Strong sense of community among hospital employees. Cafeteria gets better all the time.
Kontras
Management (at all levels) is out of touch with the front line staff. Middle management is too busy going to meetings and putting out fires. Survey after survey (employee engagement, etc) with no meaningful changes. Poor morale due to staffing issues, increased workloads, no overtime allowed to complete the extra work. Frequent rumors of people getting canned out of the blue. Health insurance plan has no flexibility to use non-Inova facilities or physicians in the area unless you want to pay out the nose.
