On the positive side, I did gain valuable exposure to new industries and practices, but this was entirely due to my own initiative. I took it upon myself to conduct research, build my network, and learn beyond my core responsibilities. While the role itself lacked structured growth, I was able to take the initiative to expand my skill set and knowledge on my own.

During my time at Innovative Trials, I experienced a deeply discouraging work environment. There was a complete absence of trust or loyalty toward long-standing employees. Despite my dedication and hard work, I never felt valued or supported. My work-life balance was non existent, I was expected to respond to messages on WhatsApp outside of hours and on holiday, and when I requested flexibility, such as working from home or attending doctor’s appointments, those requests were denied. There was a complete lack of progression; I felt stuck with no opportunity to grow. Moreover, the HR department was ineffective, there was no safe space to raise concerns as issues were often broadcast across the office, creating a toxic atmosphere of gossip, bullying, and victimization. The leadership team was equally problematic, there was no sense of planning whatsoever. They expected immediate action without any strategy or regard for my expertise. Instead of valuing me as a professional, they treated me like a machine, demanding tasks be done instantly, with no room for input or thoughtful planning. All of this, combined with the lack of care and support, took a real toll on my mental health. Despite going above and beyond, my efforts were never rewarded. If you care about your well-being, career growth, and being truly valued, this is not the place for you. Be extremely cautious if you choose to join, as trust, care, and strategic growth are simply not part of this company culture.
