Pros

1. Job Security 2. Good Infrastructure 3. Benefits 4. Strong Top Management 5. Work Life Balance

Kontras

Here I would like to explain about Big cons in the Cyber security Unit of Infosys. If anyone wants to make carrier in cybersecurity Infosys will ruin yours. This unit has the worst management possible. This unit is headed by Shambhu, Nitin and Prakash. Although these 3 leaders are good. But, Here especially the North America region headed by Prasun in the bid Management space is the worst. Prasun works under the above 3 mentioned people. Prasun is one of the worst person you could encounter in your professional carrer. He will harass you in many ways possible in the name of work. He also do many other things outside work. He has full support from the top management despite having many escalations from the fellow colleagues. Kindly refrain yourself from joining Cyber Security Unit. Also, in overall sense I have worked in 3 Units in Infosys. So, i would list down my overall view in cons 1. Pathetic Mid Level Management 2. Low hike 3. Too much hierarchy 4. Less Learning opportunities 5. Old technologies

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Kontras

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
