Upper Management does not acknowledge issues or concerns department heads are having in their department.
Upper Management has very POOR communication with it's department heads. They feel they don't have to "answer to you".
Upper Management exercises to much favoritism and are very clickily in their day to day interaction with it's employees.
The owners are great people BUT the people they have running the company are NOT so great!
As an accountant, paying vendors in a timely manner is very important to maintain credit ratings and good standing with vendors. Management does a VERY POOR job of paying bills on time or communicating to you when they MAY pay the vendors.
This is NOT a good work environment for a good accountant unless you like having vendors emailing and calling you all the time looking for their money. Some have been waiting months & months.
Upper Management will not respect reasonable deadlines for billing AR so that you can file the sales and use tax on time. They will never even communicate to you that they haven't completed the billing. You will file the taxes and later find, they are still back there billing customers and back dating them to the month you just filed. The place is a mess. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians! Don't waste your time. They offer a 30 day sabbatical after 5 years of service but no one wants to stay their long enough to take advantage of it. Their Superintendents are allowed to push the office employees below them around. Almost to a point of harassment.
