So no writing essays, no forcing kids to be perfect robots - your role is to support them in finding what they love and enjoy. That feels really good. - A very supportive place to work: they're considerate about limitations and mistakes and will give you opportunities to correct them. - You have a lot of freedom, especially as a contractor, to control your schedule, including taking time off (as long as you give adequate notice). - Salaried gets pretty solid benefits, and there's definitely movement from contract to salaried. - Times are flexible depending on your and your students' availability. - Lots of educational resources available to learn about the industry.

- You're kind of on your own to figure things out after training: though people are always available to ask for help, you do have to ask. Not always a bad thing, you just have to be proactive. - Parents and students can be difficult, especially when they have high expectations. People management is a very important part of this job.
