Competitive Salary. Massive personal growth opportunities if you’re in the right place at the right time. You can work with some of the smartest and kindest people.

Decision making gets more and more centralised every cycle. Opportunities for individuals are drying up as more and more responsibility for finding solutions to problems is put in the hands of managers and executives. Plenty of opportunity to give feedback, but rarely is there any resolution to pain points. It got to a point where it felt like talking to a wall when trying to provided candid feedback. The hardest part was seeing so many talented people let go due to the failures of the business to focus on the problems that really matter in the studio. After two layoffs, I feel very insecure about my position and that another incorrect bet on web3 gaming business models could result on me being cut next. We say people are everything at Immutable, but once you stop being valuable then you’re let go in a big restructure. A previous review said engineering was not affected by layoffs but this is false. In both the previous 2 layoffs we lost incredibly talented engineers among other disciplines. I believe immutable can still be an excellent place to work. The people are smart and want to do the right thing, but management sticks to their beliefs instead of collaborating with the team to get to a better place. It does not feel like a safe place if you have any critique of crypto.

Really lovely people. Great work life balance, and interesting work.

In the crypto space, so reliant on the ups and downs of the industry. Lay offs were common despite making it sound like the company had years of runway to live through bear market conditions

Pros

If you like gambling, I guess this could be interesting. For the most part the everyday people are great.

Utterly confused company as it runs with lots of leaders, but accountability isn't really accepted at the top, nor is the strategy sound. Performs a number of layoffs, then weeks later has a parade of offsites flying people in from around the world to stay lavish, including highly expensive events. Lots of 'yes' methods with leaders despite very questionable product strategy. Probably the worst company i've worked at. Very private school bro culture.

It seems there might be some confusion, as we are not a gambling company. We bring digital ownership to every player by making it safe and easy to build great web3 games. With regards to the layoffs, we know the restructuring earlier this year impacted the roles and lives of some of our employees, and we understand that this can lead to people feeling frustrated and saddened by these changes. Throughout this year, we have continued to invest heavily in the employee experience and in-person connection of our incredible Immutables globally, which is why we continue to hold company events and offsites. This has contributed to a huge engagement result of 81% in our recent global engagement survey, and we will continue to invest heavily in these areas. Our Engagement results also showed 87% confidence in Company leadership, which included the question of having a strategy and vision that was motivating. We are extremely confident in our Product strategy and our incredible team in Product, Engineering and Design. We also continue to invest in building a diverse and inclusive work environment. 28% of our Immutables are women or non-binary, which is above average for Web 3 and an engagement score of >80%, but we know we still have much more to accomplish here. If you have specific concerns related to our company culture, we would appreciate more details so we can address them appropriately.
