Pros

Relaxed work environment. Open pantry. Frequent company celebrations/parties. Great location. Excellent sales team. Heavily oriented toward family.

Kontras

Always feels like I'm begging to be paid industry standard. Slow to adopt new technologies and embrace change. Hard to move vertically.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Imagine Learning. We're glad you enjoyed several good things about working here. As far as we can tell, we compensate our employees at or above market standards. We find ourselves in a unique position. Because of government regulation and budget constraints, the educational sector is very slow to adopt change. So we have the unique challenge of pushing schools to accept the latest in teaching methods and technology, but not moving so quickly that we leave our customers behind. One of our company values is "Be innovative and change the world." We do this every day as we enlighten schools on the best ways to use technology in the classroom. Our exceptional employees regularly innovate as they bring new ways to do things to the table. Also, as we've said in response to other reviews, now is a great time for advancement because we are growing rapidly.

Pros

Pay is competitive. Remote work. A few days a week of regional travel at the federal compensation rate. This has been an educational entry-level job to learn the basic stakeholders and sales cycles for K-12 curriculum. The people I work with are great and knowledge/experience is a strong resource at this company.

Kontras

The higher leadership of the organization does not foster a positive, collaborative culture. Different teams/regions work in silos. Any collaboration and communication happens primarily by our own individual efforts. Also, systems change yearly. It's difficult for everyone to adapt, and as a result the sales team has little faith in following the process. Job security is iffy. There has been continuous talk of eliminating my position in my state for over a year now.
