Pros
Very nice and talented colleagues, nice working conditions (we were free to individually have the hardware and software we were familiar with), cool projects.
Kontras
This is a big company and, as many companies with the same size, you get plenty of management layers: managers who manage managers who manage managers, etc. This means that some of them are far from the reality of the field while they keep the position as decision makers rather than team enablers. Another thing that made me highly uncomfortable: higher management *loves* buzz words even if they do not really seem to understand them (but once again, they're far from being the only company suffering from that sin). This means that, unless the process/tool you want the company to embrace is not a hype yet, whatever your arguments can be, they'll never pay attention to it. But if you're somehow lucky, and this thing of yours becomes a hype, higher management will want it badly (while expecting magic). That's for sure frustrating but, at least, I still see it as a door to potential opportunities.
