Remote work, good pay, leadership that genuinely cares about their colleagues and bringing about positive social change, the revenue generating side of the business exists to fund our mission-driven projects (investigative journalism podcasts, accessibility & inclusion web resource/directory, etc.). Generally work with great clients who are mission aligned.

Sometimes client subject matter can become boring or stale, but even an interesting topic in any field becomes stagnant after several months of hitting the same handful of notes.

Everyone at Morey is kind (it's a requirement), smart (another requirement) and eager to learn new things (that's an industry requirement). The atmosphere is always super friendly, and everyone feels comfortable enough to ask any questions they might have without feeling like it's a "dumb question" - it's how we all learn, after all! But the main thing I see here, aside from very obvious mutual respect and senses of humor, is the common goal of caring deeply about not only ourselves as employees, but our co-workers and clients as well. Everybody simply wants to do great work and continue to better themselves and the company as a whole. (It's also dog-friendly, which works well for my super awesome pup that I get to bring to work!)

Open offices can lead to getting distracted pretty easily. Throw a conference call on speaker and a writer can easily lose focus for however long that takes to end. (But it's nothing some handy earphones can't combat).
