Pros
Houseware is leading the charge in a new market in an existing industry. The founders are mature, empathetic young leaders. It is rare to see and expect in any Indian company. And Houseware has been eyeing US markets from Day 1, rightly so. The biggest plus for me is the team that has been assembled to solve the problems. Most folks resonate with the vision and mission and are regular folks who don't give into shortcuts to jump to solutions but are thoughtful in their approach to problem-solving. The company is well capitalized in the current environment, and the founders do a great job in transferring the learnings status-quo of the market, as well as sharing insights around how the team can grow from here. I haven't worked in a set-up like this before. Given that this is the first super early-stage team I have joined, having seen a little bit of a growth stage before, this experience has shaped my thinking about what an ideal early-stage setup could be like. Fast-paced, yet thoughtful.
Kontras
The place is only for those who want to give a serious shot at company building at this stage and not just doing your day job. Houseware is much more ready to accept employees who can get the growth going on Day 1 with little training wheels. They also screen for this in the process, so you should know what to expect.
