Great mentorship throughout the internship

Remote, wished I was working in the city

Pay was optimal, far above industry standards (basically be a body to be counted for their funding rounds). No real need to be productive or even contribute beyond clocking in. Absolutely no oversight or even interaction, again many of us seemed to be hired just to justify further seed funding. No criteria or benchmarks expected or even communicated. It was a seet paycheck for just being a body!

Alas, all good things come to an end. Once my dept. saw a hemorrhaging of staff, others seemed desperate to staunch the bleeding of funds & staffing once they were put in charge of large swaths of what were once happily left alone to run "productivity" on their own with no oversight or feedback or even accountability of actually doing anything work-related.
