      Pros

      Good training, learning new things is a plus though you'll be more of a specialist than a generalist (depends if this is a benefit or a loss to you). Salary increases annually but the benefits are getting cut every year. It's unclear whether this place has good or bad working environment, it depends on your co workers really.

      Working hours is 11 or more There is almost no positive reinforcements from higher ups, traditionalists Little to no leave credits, it's kind of a sin to be absent from work Bonuses depends whether or not your co workers like you As there are no staff movement, work starts to become repetitive and it would take a long time before you get promoted Little to no trainings, not unless desperately needed

      Pros

      Strong technical foundation. Daily exposure to large patient sample helped develop efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

      Kontras

      Limited career progression. You will only be able to rotate to a limited sections in the lab, as a result task becomes highly repetitive. Frequent high sample volume can lead to stress and fatigue. Excessive working hours - 6 days a week / ~48 hours weekly, with frequent overtime, especially during high census or staffing shortages. This results to poor work life balance. Compensation is also not proportional to the workload handled, considering the level of responsibility, workload intensity, and extended working hours.
