jobs pay decently if they are placed correctly (often are not)

When I started with this company 2 years ago they had a very responsive support line. Helped with problem customers, changes to orders, and getting paid. Unfortunately since then they have tried to move away from that model, instead asking techs to email in about nearly everything with a response time of 3-5 days. This is insanely frustrating, and has led to me accepting fewer and fewer jobs. This policy makes me livid, makes me less motivated to do a good job, and makes me not want to recommend this company as either a service provider or an employer
