Pros

Meeting interesting people, trying wines from around the world, adequate fuel stipends, name recognition as far as distribution in the area. Senior management are lovely people, but most of their time is spent "washing their hands" of staff's issues

Kontras

No management support or encouragement, endless haranguing about selling, no inventory reliability, no opportunities to advance, constant referral to the "team" when the job is essentially an individual business based on each sales rep. Self-education is frowned upon. Your job is expected to be your life and if you cannot accommodate that, you are reprimanded.

Career advancement because everyone keeps leaving or getting fired? That's all I can think of.

Leadership-CONTINUOUSLY tries to fix a problem they created with poor decisions with another poor decision. So very hard on employees. Have you running ragged. You are not a sales representative. You are a glorified merchandiser. Because of poor decisions by leadership, customers are very angry and take it out on you. Management puts so much fear of getting fired into the employees, you never feel grounded or stable. I haven't worked there in 6 months and still have stress dreams about that place. They DO NOT support their employees OR customers. It USED to be a great place to work that I would happily refer a friend to. If you dont want to hurt your mind and body, stay away.
