As I am writing this, an extremely high unemployment rate is driving people do apply for and take any job available. You don't have to take this one. However. If you do, get used to working on code that looks like it was orignally FORTRAN, but translated by someone on LSD. You will hear supervisors with nothng to show but the specific technnology (see the reasons to work there below), a caustic and rancorous environment, managers not understanding the tasks you're doing, and blaming you for not making their mistakes. Get used to unqualified leaders simply using buzzwords to cover a complete lack of competence or technical competence. The toxic office and its zoom issues are another problem. The junior staff looks like a silicon valley office after a partial lobotomy. If you are better than average, or able to work with others, Haas software isn't a place you want to be for long. There are some reasons to work there. If you do need to, remember, plan your exit about 6 months after you start. The first reason is if is you are actually need good experience in something (language, etc.) you've never used before. However, a more common answer is a paycheck. If you choose to work here, definitely insist on a high starting salary. It's not going to make a difference either way. Start to look the second you have gotten any experience that will benefit you. And (just a note) if you are a woman (or minority), ask questions from people already there when you interview. Just sayin' But at the end, there are 2 kinds of people there. One is the person who will leave in less than about 5 years, and go on to do something. The others are lifers.
