Pros
- Good work culture - The organization believes in providing resources with sufficient time, to get quality work done. - Excellent policies. None of your achievements would go unnoticed. If you have an accomplishment, be sure that you will be rewarded for it - Very good in terms of hikes and variable pays as compared to other IT industries - One of the very few organizations, where you wont feel the "work pressure". However, I have heard of some managers who do pressurize their subordinates. But again you have many doors open to raise your concerns. - You would rarely be stopped by anyone for learning, irrespective of whether the learning is relevant to your job or not - Best place if you are of the kind who prefer to spend your lifetime in an organization!
Kontras
- Lack of challenging work - Although you are permitted to learn a great deal, you may rarely get a chance to implement them in your day-to-day activities. - Since roles are fixed among different teams in a project, you may seldom get a holistic view of the project that you are working in. - Beware, you may end-up being assigned to a job profile which may not relate to your skillset and experience. - Fresher are most likely to end-up as a Mainframe or AS400 programmer/tester (although some of them may get better opportunities) - All the above points may make you feel stagnating in a years time.
