Poor career development - no defined career paths and very limited company sponsored outside training. Nowhere to advance to..only a very few senior management positions, and they are not going anywhere. Slow to keep up with technology - the technology world is advancing much faster than this small company can. Inability to advance careers causes "A" players with options to leave company, leaving behind a concentration of lesser skilled staff members. Employment offers can be less than truthful - be sure to ask for proof of recent compensations before signing on. 1960's perception of race and gender roles - ladies be prepared to clean the kitchen while the men go out for a smoke.
