Pros
For an internship, the pay is really good.
There were a lot of opportunities to network within the district. People in the city government and even the Board of Education would come for events, so if you network, it could lead to something big for you.
There's a lot of opportunity to learn, so keep an open mind and stay open to feedback whenever you take on unfamiliar assignments. It doesn't hurt to mingle with some of the higher-ups and learn what they have going on in their department.
Once people get to know you, you'll rarely have a problem with anyone. You'll genuinely begin to see your coworkers as friends rather than just business associates.
There are plenty of snacks.
Kontras
You really have to learn your place and earn a reputation before people start to like you, or even respect you.
The office politics situation is pretty rough, last I checked. It is significantly worse than most standard sized offices.
