Pros
Wonderful DSPs who care for persons served regardless of the heinously low pay. Building rapport with persons served and improving their quality of life. Building relationships with your fellow DSPs and learning more about how to better care for persons served.
Kontras
Heinously low pay, shady contract practices, toxic work environment, management that sweeps concerns of their DSPs under the rug, DSPs encouraged to advocate for persons served however are admonished by management when they do so, This agency is run as a business rather than a care facility in charge of many human beings quality of life. The way the company runs is that they make money off of every hour that clients are out of their home. Due to this business model, management pressures clients to leave the house even in adverse situations/illness (they just had a procedure done, They had a family member pass away last night, they are feeling generally unwell). Management will continue to push them to leave their home in order to meet GoodLife’s billing quota.
