Pros
The company has some good and nice ppl working (most if not all) of those good and nice ppl still working there don’t have many good things to say about the organisation nor do they have any long term plans connected with their employment with GD
Kontras
Firstly if you are wondering how one company can have so much reviews and feedback that is contridactory let me explain. Firstly HR at GD approaches employees (very early on first 5-6 weeks (and asks them to write reviews) - only selected ppl who they think are more likely to give good feedback. Assuming this is to combat the amount of bad feedback left here voluntary. Secondly the company has different rules by department. If you are a data analyst you might like working there - you never see data analysts at the office. This depertment is left alone with decent senior management and lots of flexibility. I can understand why some of the data analysts reviews could/ would be positive. On the sales side or any other client facing CSM, AM role etc don’t waste your time even considering working there. Terrible culture, treating sales like high school kids. Seems like they are stuck in the 90’s Passive aggressive, condescending way of communicating. Rules that make zero sense just for the sake of sending a message. If you are sick, or your kids are sick you are not allowed to WFH. You simply need to take day off. You are either ok to show up at the office or if not your need to take annual leave or day off sick. Office hours 9-6pm. If you have doctors appointment and show up late morning (still prior to midday) you will be asked to lodge a half day off. There is no trust factor and not the type of company that wants to empower their talent. They think that finishing on Friday 5pm is cool and that means flexibility and it’s a big thing to be allowed Friday pub lunch with a drink. Not sure what century this place is stuck on. No marketing budget, (not great when brand doesn’t have much presence) no lead gen or travel budget. Everyone is watching how much time you spend at your desk. As long as you there 9am-6pm (and don’t take too many toilet breaks. Everything is being monitored including this) that’s half of your success. Definitely not result focused but emphasis on sending silly messaging to the staff. If you are a seasoned and motivated sales professional this is not a place for you. Never heard of a place that needs sales reps at the office at all the time. Apparently internal research conducted by GD shows that sales reps perform best when they are at the office 5 days 9-6pm 🤔 Also No benefits (zero)
