Pros

- free Tea and Coffee (and occasional hot water) - scenic views from the building (with non-functional windows) - other paralegals understand you - occasional work from home (within unnecessary reason)

Kontras

- extremely overworked with very little pay - team morale extremely low - you’re given the work of a partner on a paralegal wage - minimum support - only thing in sight is completing files, nothing else matters - management persuade you to speak up and support but don’t support when you speak up - extremely high case file load with little assistance - barely any training - senior management always super busy so there’s never any time for actual help - nobody ever really knows what they’re doing - illusion of career progression when there isn’t one

Pros

A lot of the reviews of the Networks role here are quite out-of-date, and written by people with axes to grind; please take them with a pinch of salt. Pros: 1. Good experience - you will be managing own caseload, and doing stuff like title review, drafting etc. which many other paralegals wouldn't be trusted with 2. Nice office (again, many of the other reviews here are from the old office at the Arc). Free beer on tap, free barista-made coffee, good city centre location 3. Large team of other young people. so good opportunity to make new friends

Kontras

Cons: 1. Large workload - you will be given a large caseload, which will feel difficult to manage at times, but at the end of the day, law is a stressful profession, so if you can't hack that, maybe you can't hack a legal career 2. Lack of progression - the Networks role is NOT a route to a TC at the firm (I think most of their TCs are in Cardiff anyway) However, a lot of people in Networks do use their experience to get TCs and paralegal roles at other (often better) firms, so in some way, this isn't even that much of a con 3. Training can be fairly ad-hoc, so the quality may depend on which sub-team you land up in 4. Salary isn't the greatest, although used to be much worse from what I've heard
