Pros

1. Generous benefits for healthcare and retirement. 2. Teams usually maintain a good work-life balance. 3. Working hours can be held to 40 hours per week if that's what you want. 4. Some new products have interesting features. 5. Generous product discounts.

Kontras

1. I heard a lot about "servant leadership" when I came in almost 5 years ago - I see very, very little of it. 2. Tendency toward micromanagement of engineers. 3. Engineering management positions have been awarded to younger engineers who are not ready for it (as evidenced by 1 and 2). 4. Most teams are not very open to flexible work schedules - at least not on a regular basis. 5. Compensation is probably a little low; don't expect any kind of annual bonus; raises tend to lag inflation. (Benefits make up for some of this, but probably not all of it.)

Pros

Great, and I mean great benefits.

Kontras

Poor local culture, everybody is in their own clicks and don't deviate from them. Not a huge amount of office friendliness. Not many team building exercises, and qa gets left out of alot. If you're not a developer, you will have a yard time socially. Coffee is the worst I've had at a company ever. Return to office was not handled right, and the wfh policies were written very vague by a local manager, but what they actually wanted was very specific and was not communicated at all(avg of 1 per month over the course of a year). This lead to a problem where I was denied a wfh request to grieve a dead pet because I used wfh 2 weeks earlier to register a new car ( that I got solely for work commute)
