Pros

I enjoyed working with talented, hardworking, loyal colleagues dedicated to fulfill Client needs with or without help from Gallagher.

Kontras

Stagnant growth. The need for an advanced degree or knowing the right middle to upper manager for advancement above low level jobs is obvious. Lack of appreciation for hard work employees render by upper management who require mid-level and low-level management to provide incentives to employees at personal expense. Record growth in profitability yields no reward to dedicated employees who sacrificed during lean years. Blatant nepotism, poor almost dangerously low morale and frequent unsuccessful implementation of software and procedures cripple the ability to place business properly and breed resentment amongst employees towards upper management. Mandatory use of Gallagher approved intermediaries improves Gallagher's bottom line at the expense of it's customers. Career Launch and Interns are often Silver Spoon Individuals who are fast tracked into Career Positions often without basic insurance knowledge or needed people skills. Usage of India Service Center to replace American Workers leaves many in constant fear of lay-off. Also, instruction to avoid making the India Service Center known makes this division all the more worrisome for employees.

Pros

Great work-life balance as a remote employee. Management is approachable and genuinely willing to help when it comes to workload — you never feel like you're on your own.

Kontras

Mentorship is largely self-driven. if you don't seek it out yourself, it won't come to you. Systems and internal processes can be slow and tedious, which adds friction to an already fast-paced workload. Compensation does not reflect the complexity or volume of work expected. High performers who are ready for the next step would benefit from clearer, more proactive promotion paths. When that structure is missing, talented people disengage quietly long before they ever leave.
