Pros
- Good pay and benefits - Supportive leaders who learn from mistakes, who embrace any needed changes, and who recognize and reward high performance - Friendly, supportive culture - Highly talented, motivated, collaborative, and friendly team members, who deliver exceptional work for clients - Great clients with interesting projects I don't recognize the company in the negative reviews. Many such reviews came from former employees and from employees who disliked the leadership style of former CEO. Futrend leaders have been intentional about creating a positive, welcoming, and supportive culture, and about addressing complaints by making necessary changes. The former CEO is no longer in that role. She is now focused on growth. The VPs of operations and strategy have tons of experience, and are highly engaged and supportive of PMs and of teams. The new CEO is not a micromanager. He is respectful, helpful, and talented. And, he listens. All of the leaders have confidence in the teams. The people I work with are, for the most part, happy in their jobs, interested in their projects, and enjoy working together. All of the leaders, including the former CEO, are complimentary of the current employees and enable teams to do what they do best, without any micromanaging.
Kontras
- Just the normal growing pains -- nothing unusual for a small company. I have to wonder whether or not the people who wrote negative reviews have ever worked for a small, growing company before. Futrend had no choice but to let some staff go, due to contract and funding constraints. The high-performers were retained. I have heard some staff say that productivity and team morale improved after a group of employees was let go. Leaders had to make some tough decisions that no one likes to make. Futrend is doing well today.
