Pros

Good vision, good product and global expansion. I’m pleased to have spent over 3 years of my early career with fourth hospitality, I was one of the old schools so I’ve seen and had fair share from this company. Good location and office events. Amazing talents

Sole reason for leaving was absolutely no progression available for the majority of employees whom work hard and don’t mix with the close group (favourites) of Mr Hood. If you are not already in this group there’s absolutely no chance that you will be accepted, therefore promotion, development, pay rise etc is a dream. even when you are excelling and achieving way above targets Mr Hood and his gang are not prepared to give any other people a chance. You will be shut down and pushed away immediately. Shame on you for not allowing diversity into your the higher ranked roles in your organisation.

I’m so sorry you felt this way at Fourth. I enjoyed reading the pros and felt very sad about the cons. I’m not sure 3 years counts as ‘old school’ however. Look, the buck stops with me and whilst I accept full responsibility for this I don’t understand why you didn’t seek me about this as you use my name name specifically and don’t approve. Pros

Very few pros come to mind, there were some great people on the individual contributor level I worked with across multiple teams however many left or are on their way out.

This is a highly toxic and disorganized work environment. Leadership’s lack of knowledge, direction, and experience is apparent. When I started, leadership was disengaged and disconnected to everything. I noticed there was a sudden and obvious change in leadership’s approach where “urgent” asks from above were being requested with little to no context. Unrealistic and changing expectations started being communicated as the norm. This caused confusion, chaos, and burn out, resulting in extremely low morale across teams. Concerns and feedback were either ignored or people were penalized/suddenly terminated for speaking up. Lastly, it doesn’t go unsaid there is no work life balance or professional boundaries here. This is a work environment that sets people up for failure and can have a serious impact on overall well-being.
