- always taking risks to try out new ideas - considers everyone's ideas, regardless of their defined role - fun, team that likes to work hard/play hard

Kontras

- sometimes travel plans are schedule a bit late, can be a bit to manage - lots of self-management involved - you are able to work independently but this can be a challenge at times!

Pros

I love working at Food Service Direct. The people are great and the company is set up to make decisions & move quickly in order to grow exponentially. Employees are encouraged to have an entrepreneurial mindset and contribute ideas on how to grow the business. It's fast-paced, there's opportunity for growth, and employees are treated well.

Pros

Since this was a remote position, I had a fairly flexible schedule. This is not to say that I could sit around and do nothing all day. That wasn't the case but as long as I got projects done on time and was present for required meetings, the job wasn't stressful. I was not overworked or micromanaged. I also worked with a great team of people.

Kontras

There was a lack of structure at times. The company often times operated with a "start up" mentality. This meant that a lot things I did in this role was a first for me as a designer and a first for the company. Sometimes projects took way too long to complete and there was a lack of resources. For certain projects I had to be not only a designer but a copywriter as well.
