Pros
-stable salary -plenty of knowledgeable coworkers (non-management)
Kontras
-NO MEAL BREAKS (legal in NJ but still very unethical) -Have to sign strict non-compete agreement with absurd restrictive covenant (google it) -Some students and families treat tutors like absolute dirt. Instead of firing the families, management will try to sweep it under the rug. -too cheap to hire proctors and admin, so you are routinely expected to be performing multiple duties at once -assigned mindless administrative tasks during seasonal slowdowns -CEO Ron + Management refuse to send workers home during inclement weather (blizzards + hurricanes) -Employees have to band together to take a sick day -CEO Ron conducted himself unprofessionally routinely, especially with regards to pay and benefits -Routinely booked for 8 to 9 hours straight without a break. The 40 hour work week may seem tempting in the job posting but trust me, it isn't. -Expected to provide your own technology (laptop, stylus, headset) for virtual tutoring. Company does not pay for it. -Printers break all the time. -High turnover rate (Hire Fast - Fire Fast) -Scolded for asking to use higher-quality third party test prep materials
