Pros

Assisting customers with their DIY needs. Health benefits and free fruit

Kontras

Upper management and supervisors are best friends outside of work and talk smack about the employees . They try to intimidate employees with their positions and when you need their support they call you names behind your back or eye roll you. They got their positions NOT based on experience but because there was very few people to choose from

Pros

Young vibrant office with free coffee and monthly lunches. Casual environment and good interoffice/departmental culture. Great benefits too! A stable 8-4 job, so lots of time at home.

Kontras

For a completely online business, the lack of flexibility on working from home (especially during bad winter storm days) wasn't great. Management definitely needs some education on mental health and how an employer can aid their employees through symptoms.

Pros

Ability to work from home, coworkers are okay, culture is mostly positive, most Managers are flexible

Kontras

Upper Management will override Managers decisions regularly and make decisions without consulting Department Heads which creates conflict within the company. HR will stab you in the back any second they can. You may advance once or twice, but after that you won't move up any more, they don't create upwards opportunities until they have no other options. A lot of tenured employees are very disgruntled because of Upper Managements ineffective ways of handling the company, turnover for younger employees in all positions is super high because they do nothing to retain those coming from new cultures and generations. Some of the best managers are treated like they know nothing by Upper Management, often blocking their decisions or rolling them back.
